Collection and processing of data

Every access to our website and every retrieval of a file stored on this website is logged. The storage serves internal system related and statistical purposes. Logged: Name of the retrieved file, date and time of the retrieval, amount of data transferred, notification of successful retrieval, web browser and requesting domain. In addition, the IP addresses of the requesting computers are logged. Further personal data is only collected if the user of the website and/or customer provides information voluntarily, for example in the context of an inquiry or registration or to conclude a contract or via the settings of his browser.

Our website uses cookies. A cookie is a text file that is sent when you visit a website and temporarily stored on the hard drive of the user of the website and/or customer. If the corresponding server of our website is called up again by the user of the website and/or customer, the browser of the user of the website and/or customer sends the previously received cookie back to the server. The server can then evaluate the information obtained through this procedure in various ways. Cookies can be used, for example, to control the display of advertisements or to facilitate navigation on a website. If the website user and/or customer wishes to prevent the use of cookies, he can do so by making local changes to his settings in the Internet browser used on his computer, i.e. the program for opening and displaying Internet pages (e.g. Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox, Opera or Safari).

Use and disclosure of personal data

Insofar as the user of our website has provided personal data, we will only use this data to answer the user’s enquiries about the website and/or customers, to process contracts concluded with the user of the website and/or customers and for technical administration. Personal data will only be passed on or otherwise transmitted by us to third parties if this is necessary for the purpose of processing the contract or for billing purposes or if the user of the website and/or customer has given his prior consent. The user of the website and/or customer has the right to revoke any consent given with effect for the future at any time.

The deletion of the stored personal data takes place if the user of the website and/or customer revokes the consent for storage, if their knowledge is no longer necessary for the fulfilment of the purpose pursued with the storage or if their storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons. Data for billing and accounting purposes will not be affected by a deletion request.

Right to information

Upon written request, we will inform the user of the website and/or the customer about the personal data stored about him/her. The request must be sent to the address given in the imprint of the website.

We take the protection of your data very seriously. We treat your personal data confidentially and according to the legal data protection regulations as well as this data protection explanation.
In the following we explain to you in what way, to what extent and for what purpose we collect, use and store your data.

Cookies

Our website uses so-called cookies. These are small text files that are stored on your computer. They serve to make our offer more user-friendly, more effective and safer. In cookies we store, for example, the choice of your language, the contents of your shopping basket and whether you are logged in as a user of the website.

Most of the cookies we use are so-called “session cookies”. They are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Other cookies remain stored on your device until you delete them. These cookies enable us to recognize your browser during your next visit.

You can set your browser so that you are informed when cookies are set and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or generally, and activate the automatic deletion of cookies when you close your browser. If cookies are deactivated, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

Browser type and browser version
used operating system
Referrer URL
Hostname of the accessing computer
Time of the server request
This data is anonymized and therefore cannot be assigned to specific persons. This data is not merged with other data sources. We reserve the right to subsequently check this data if we become aware of concrete indications of illegal use.

Contact form

If you send us an enquiry using the contact form, your details from the enquiry form including the contact details you provided will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. These data will not be passed on without your consent.

Use of web fonts

External fonts, Google Fonts, are used on this website. Google Fonts is a service of Google Inc. (“Google”). These web fonts are integrated via a server call, usually a Google server in the USA. This transmits to the server which website you have visited. Google also saves the IP address of your browser and the device you are using. You can find more detailed information in Google’s privacy policy:
www.google.com/fonts#AboutPlace:about
www.google.com/policies/privacy/

Privacy policy Google Maps

This website uses Google Maps, the product of Google Inc. By using this website, you consent to the collection, processing and use of automated data by Google Inc, its agents and third parties.
The Google Maps Terms of Use can be found under “Google Maps Terms of Use”.

Use TripAdvisor Integration

Our website uses plugins from the Tripadvisor site operated by Tripadvisor Inc. The site is operated by Tripadvisor Inc., 141 Needham Street, Newton, MA 02464, USA. When you visit one of our pages equipped with a Tripadvisor plugin, a connection is established to the Tripadvisor servers. This will tell the Tripadvisor server which of our pages you have visited.

For more information about how Tripadvisor handles user information, please see Tripadvisor’s Privacy Policy:
https://tripadvisor.mediaroom.com/DE-privacy-policy

Use Facebook Widget

On our pages the plugin of the social network Facebook, 1601 South California Avenue, Palo Alto, CA 94304, USA is integrated. You can recognize the Facebook plugin by the Facebook logo and our fan page on our page. An overview of the Facebook plugins can be found here. When you visit our pages, the plugin establishes a direct connection between your browser and the Facebook server. Facebook receives the information that you have visited our site with your IP address. If you click the Facebook “Like” button while logged into your Facebook account, you can link the content of our pages to your Facebook profile. This allows Facebook to associate visiting our pages with your user account. We would like to point out that, as the provider of the pages, we do not have any knowledge of the content of the data transmitted or its use by Facebook. Further information on this can be found in Facebook’s privacy policy.
If you do not want Facebook to be able to assign visits to our pages to your Facebook user account, please log out of your Facebook user account.

Online Presences in Social Media

We maintain online presences within social networks and platforms in order to be able to communicate with customers, interested parties and users active there and to inform them about our services.
We would like to point out that user data may be processed outside the European Union. This can result in risks for users, as it could, for example, make it more difficult to enforce the rights of users. With regard to US providers that are certified under the Privacy Shield, we would like to point out that by doing so they commit themselves to comply with EU data protection standards.
In addition, user data is usually processed for market research and advertising purposes. For example, user profiles can be created on the basis of user behavior and the resulting interests of users. The usage profiles can in turn be used, for example, to place advertisements inside and outside the platforms that presumably correspond to the interests of the users. For these purposes, cookies are usually stored on the user’s computer in which the user’s usage behaviour and interests are stored. Furthermore, data can also be stored in the user profiles independently of the devices used by the users (in particular if the users are members of the respective platforms and are logged in to them).

The processing of the personal data of the users takes place on the basis of our legitimate interests in effective information of the users and communication with the users in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 letter f. DSGVO. If the users are requested by the respective providers of the platforms to consent to the aforementioned data processing, the legal basis for the processing is Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a., Art. 7 DSGVO.

For a detailed description of the respective processing operations and the opt-out options, we refer to the following linked information of the providers.

Also in the case of requests for information and the assertion of user rights, we point out that these can be asserted most effectively with the providers. Only the providers have access to the data of the users and can directly take appropriate measures and give information. Should you nevertheless need help, you can contact us.

AWStats

In order to improve our website based on statistics, we use the program AWStats. The program is a free web analysis software. It is used to evaluate log files that web servers create based on visitor requests. For statistical analysis, server log files are evaluated anonymously (without IP addresses). This data cannot therefore be assigned to specific persons.

In contrast to other statistical programs, AWStats does not transmit any data to an external server. The program is installed on your own hosting package. For example, the transmission of data abroad is avoided, since our server is located in Germany.

For the comment function on this website, in addition to your comment, information at the time the comment was created, your e-mail address and, if you do not post anonymously, the user name you have chosen will also be stored.

Comments are checked before they are activated in order to be able to take action against the author in the event of legal violations such as insults or propaganda.

Handling of personal data

The use of our website is generally possible without providing personal data. Insofar as personal data (e.g. name, address or e-mail addresses) is collected on our pages, this is always done, as far as possible, on a voluntary basis and within the legal framework.

We would like to point out that data transmission on the Internet (e.g. communication by e-mail) can be subject to security gaps. A complete protection of the data against access by third parties is not possible.

After the contract has been completed in full, your data will be deleted after expiry of the retention periods under tax and commercial law, unless you have expressly consented to further use of your data or we reserve the right to use data beyond this, which is permitted by law and about which we inform you in the data protection declaration.

Transmission of data to third parties

We will not pass on your data to third parties without your consent. Something else only applies if we have a legal obligation to do so or if this is necessary to enforce our rights, in particular to enforce claims arising from the contractual relationship with you.

Data transfer at contract conclusion for online shops with and without shipping of goods
We transmit personal data to third parties only if this is necessary in the context of contract processing; for example to the companies entrusted with the delivery of the goods or the credit institution entrusted with the handling of payments. Any further transmission of data will not take place or will only take place if you have expressly consented to the transmission. Your data will not be passed on to third parties for advertising purposes without your express consent.

SSL encryption

This website uses SSL encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as requests you send to us as a site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the address line of the browser changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.
If SSL encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Payment transactions are made exclusively via an encrypted SSL connection.
